About
Having gained valuable experience working for a local tree surgery company and starting my training with Merrist wood College, I was fortunate enough to start work in the autumn of 2003 at The National Arboretum, Westonbirt. Having the privilege to maintain such a wide variety of plants and being surrounded by so many knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic people, I have had opportunities that even a year or two ago I could only have dreamt about.
Almost six years on, I cannot help but be inspired by the legacy which has been left behind by a variety of people; David Douglas et al through to the Holfords. Their vision and determination to explore and subsequently collect plants has resulted in one of the finest collections of trees and shrubs in the country, if not wider.
